womens wear skirt.

Ive just handed in my portfolio for womens wear. i had to research and design a skirt based on the work of Tony Cragg. I found his work quite repetitive but still interesting. I liked how it was all sculptural pieces in his exhibition and this is what inspired me for the design of my skirt.
Me and zoe worked together and had a laugh all the way through it. I designed the top part of the skirt and zoe designed the bottom part of the skirt. This time it went really smoothly and we had no problems  making it, thank god!

just finished!

Im a Fashion Communication student, so i thought it would be best if i did the photography and the photoshop work and zoe to model our skirt. We were buzzing when it had been snowing in Gala so we could do our photoshoot outside! Zoe was freezing standing outside in a sheer shirt and our skirt and i was wearing my big coat taking our photos!
Our brief was to do our photoshoot in the style of i-D magazine....

photoshop version of photo shoot.

A little catch up.

Its been a while since i last wrote on my blog, so i thought i would fill you all in on what's been happening.

For BBC children in need, Heriot Watt put on a charity fashion show at uni, showing all first years shirts that we designed and made. It was such a good night, i helped give out drinks to people as they came in then mingled for a bit then 3 glasses later it was time for the show. We took our seats and commented on everyones shirts. I didn't even realise it was my shirt coming down the catwalk, "ee thats a good one i would wear that..OH wait, its mine!" Typical!

Mine and Zoes Shirt on the catwalk.

Another thing thats happened is that i've finished uni for christmas now. BUZZ. My women's wear portfolio has been handed in and i am done for first semester.
Being home for 3 weeks is so weird but loving it. Seeing my friends from home and my family is unreal but missing my gala girls!
Before i finished uni and it was time to go home, i had a little "class test", well what i thought was a class test in Fashion Marketing. Clearly it wasn't a little test when i walked into the lecture hall and saw little individual tables and invigilators wandering about.
Definitely a full on exam. My bad.
